At Lazaval, the soul of our Oud perfumes—Oud Luxe, Oud Cardamom, and Pure Oud—comes from the purity and authenticity of the agarwood we source. Oud varies significantly depending on the region it comes from, and these natural differences influence the aroma, depth, texture, and overall olfactory expression of each perfume.
Traditionally, we have crafted our Oud creations using agarwood from East Asia, primarily Myanmar and Thailand. This region is known for producing oud oils with a smooth, refined, slightly sweet, and resinous character, which many of our customers have grown to love.
However, due to limited availability of East Asian agarwood, we are currently sourcing high-quality Indian Oud. Oud from India is naturally different—it carries a denser, woodier, more intense, and sometimes slightly earthy profile, even when blended with the exact same natural ingredients. This shift in raw material means you may notice a variation in the scent profile, texture, and overall experience.
Because we value transparency and want you to fully enjoy your natural fragrance:
👉 If you have been using our Oud perfumes previously, we recommend starting with a 2ml sample before purchasing a larger bottle.
This ensures you experience the current batch and truly appreciate the unique qualities of Indian agarwood.
Once supplies of East Asian oud are restored, we may introduce separate listings—one showcasing East Asian Oud and another featuring Indian Oud—so you can choose and enjoy distinct regional oud aromas, all made with our signature 100% natural essential and absolute oils.
At Lazaval, every batch reflects nature’s diversity, and we are committed to bringing you the most authentic, high-quality Oud experiences from around the world.
